Kumiko
Learn three different Kumiko techniques on this one day course and learn the intricacies of this ancient Japanese art. You will familiarise yourself with using and setting up pairing blocks to create decorative panelling that can enhance your future pieces, or be used as individual decoration. Taught by professional and experienced tutors from our workshop at the Williams & Cleal fine woodworking and furniture school, Somerset UK.

Learn how to create Kumiko patterns using precision hand tools alongside pairing blocks on this one day course.
As well as making your own Kumiko Trivet to take away with you, you will learn:
• How to make your own cross halving frame.
• Accurate set up of pairing blocks.
• Cutting to precise angles and lengths.
• Tool maintenance and preparation.
• Demonstration of Kumiko’s potential.
