If you have a passion for making and would like a better understanding and the skills to get the best results from hand-tools, this short fine woodworking weekend course is a fantastic introduction to the world of fine woodworking and furniture making. Taught by experienced and professional tutors from our workshop at the Williams & Cleal fine woodworking and furniture making school, near Taunton, Somerset UK.

Content
This course will build your confidence in being able to work with precision and it will give you an essential foundation to achieve your woodworking projects with accuracy and a beautiful finish.
During the two day course you will learn how to select, sharpen and set up the tools. You will also gain a better understanding of wood, how it moves, and how to work with it effectively. You will learn to measure and mark accurately, cut and chisel to a line as well as learning how to use your bench plane.
This in turn will give you the ability to create clean cuts and high quality fitted joints for your future projects. You will make a small set project - a candle holder - which will allow you to practice and experience the knowledge and skills that will be covered on this course.

Cancellations and refunds: In line with your statutory rights, we offer a 14 day cancellation period from the date that you purchased your course. Cancellations outside of the statutory period are non refundable.
When you reserve a place we will then email you confirmation, a receipt, a list of course requirements and accommodation suggestions.
