Our short weekend wooden box making course is taught by experienced tutors from the workshop at the Williams & Cleal fine furniture and woodworking school, located in the peaceful setting of the Quantock Hills, near Taunton, Somerset UK. See your ideas come to life through learning how to design and make a beautiful wooden box. Learn new skills and techniques that will introduce you to the wider possibilities of fine furniture making and woodworking. Choose between a leather or vegan leather handle.

Content
In just two days, make a beautiful solid wooden box in our picturesque Somerset workshop. This course will introduce you to the wider skills and techniques and you will learn from our award winning tutors. Techniques and skills covered will include:
Selection and set up of hand tools.
Accurate marking out and measuring.
Successful chiseling, sawing and hand planing.
Introduction to routing.
Accurate assembly and glue up.
Application of finishes.

Please bring your own lunch, cold drinks and snacks. Tea and coffee are provided.
Please bring ear defenders and masks if you have them, otherwise we can supply.

To secure your place, a course fee will be requested at the time of booking.
Cancellations and refunds: In line with your statutory rights, we offer a 14 day cancellation period from the date that you purchased your course. Cancellations outside of the statutory period are non refundable.
Should the course you select be full, you will be given the option of joining our waiting list.
When you reserve a place we will then email you confirmation, a receipt, a list of course requirements and accommodation suggestions.
