We have experience in working with a broad range of materials in the furniture making industry, and whichever material or technique you are looking to use for your project we can help ascertain the best laser setting for your needs.

Veneer Thickness: 0.3mm, 0.4mm, 0.6mm, 0.8mm
Constructional Veneer: 0.9mm, 1.5mm, 2mm, 2.5mm
For additional thicknesses please enquire. Our machine can cut thicknesses up to 20mm depending on the type of wood.
Sizes: Any size up to 1000mm x 600mm
You can supply your own veneer, or choose from our onsite stock. We can also source veneer for your project from our local supplier.

Sizes: Any size up to 1000m x 600mm
Material: If supplying your own ply, it must be interior grade plywood using MR glue. Other plywoods tend to use a glue not compatible with laser cutting.

Materials: Most plastics.
We cannot cut PVC, PVB, PTFE/Teflon, Beryllias, PVC based synthetic leather or inferior leather (Chrome VI) or materials containing halogens as these materials contain dangerous substances that are released during processing in the form of gases and dust.
We may also not be able to cut materials specified as flame retardant. This property is achieved through bromine, which is then released during processing.

Our Trotec Laser machine is part funded a grant from the Somerset Growth Accelerator Fund - awarded by Somerset County Council.
The Accelerator Scheme aims to help SME’s like Williams and Cleal enhance and grow their business going forwards, boost prospects within Somerset’s economy and contribute toward the county’s effort to become carbon neutral by 2030.
With the help of SWMAS’s Make it Net Zero Programme, we are taking positive steps towards identifying and reducing our carbon footprint.
